Do the Nazgûl love their fellbeasts like we love our dogs?
Imagine, the 9 cursed Ringwraiths coming home from a long day of taking orders from the Witch King of Angmar and their flying, stinky, lizard/horse/dragons are waiting for them at the front door of Minas Morgul. Maybe the fellbeasts wag their tails happily as the kings of Men doomed to die come waltzing through the front gate, knocking over ancient statues and random orcs with each swing of their mighty tail. What a sight that would be.
The Nazgûl get a pretty bad rep in the books, turned evil by the cursed nature of their Rings of Power, but perchance there was a shred of good still left in their humanity, could a wraith be redeemed? LOTR lovers could ponder all day about the 'what ifs' of the Middle Earth universe. The layers and depth of each biome, race, tree, and creature described in these books can be intoxicatingly complicated–but that's why we love Tolkien.
